Cameroon - South and Centre
We start at the foot of Mount Cameroon in the south not far from the coast of the atlnatic ocean, a damp subtropical area which - pn colonial times was called "ten go in and one come out" due to malaria and other deseases. Cameroon was a German colony from 1884 until the end of World War I. Then it was split into a french and a british mandate, providing a language barrier that can be noticed still. In 1960 Cameroon became independant.
