The Kingfisher Lodge in Kichwemba was our comfortable accomodation for two nights as we explored the Queen Elizabeth National Park and some of the rural life near the Crater Lakes. The Lodge offers a majestic view over the plains of the Kyambura Reserve and Katunguru while siiting 250 m above them. In the distance You can see the Kazinga Channel and - as far as the close to permanent clouds may allow the Ruwenzori Mountains. Lake Edwards and Lake George may be suspected.
