Kichwemba is a village on the border of the Queen Elizabeth NP allowing a breathtaking viewof its plains as You sit some 1.200 meters above. Surely some of the villagers may profit of the toruristic facilities yet here is pure Uganda: prolific grounds, rural live and hard working farmers. Lead by a local guide we were taught local agricultur which is quite common all over Uganda: bananas, sorghum, coffee, manioc, beans, peas, potatoe. There were clay huts and brick dwellings, posters with education in terms of ebola - this is border region to Congo.

Here is the center of the rift valley with some geologically unique landmarks such as the crater lakes. We couldvisit two of them: the Mirambi and the Katinda crater lakes embedded in scenic green hills.
