Murchison Falls, from 1972 to 1990 known as Kabalega Falls, is a waterfall between Lake Kyoga and Lake Albert on the Victoria Nile River in Uganda. At the top the river is 7 m wide, and tumbles 43 m deep. In March 1864 Mr. and Mrs. Baker were the first Europeans who sighted them. We walked from the top of the falls down to its bottom where we took a boat for a cruise further down the river to the Murchison River Lodge.
